AEGAON Partners with CHI Pärnu Equestrian Event

At the start of this summer, from May 23 to June 8, the international equestrian competition CHI Pärnu 2025 took place in Pärnu, Estonia. In addition to Estonia’s top riders, participants from eight different countries competed, and the event was followed by audiences from around the world. While the competition was held for the fifth time, it marked AEGAON’s first foray into supporting equestrian sports. Alongside the impressive Grand Prix cash prizes, winners were also awarded AEGAON wristwatches.

CHI Pärnu 2025 was hosted at Maria Talu and featured World Cup stages in dressage and show jumping, as well as international competitions in driving and eventing. Riders from eight countries took part. Among the competitors were last year’s Grand Prix winner Urmas Raag, along with Estonian top riders Gunnar Klettenberg, Rein Pill, Tiit Kivisild, Hanno Ellermann, Renek Rosenberg, and others. Notable international participants included Latvian Olympian Kristaps Neretnieks and Lithuanian rider Andrius Petrovas.

For AEGAON, which has actively supported Estonian sports in recent years, this was the first experience sponsoring an equestrian event. “Globally, major watch brands like Longines and Rolex support equestrian sports. It’s a great honor for us that AEGAON was given this opportunity in Estonia. Thanks to this, we reached a completely new audience – equestrian fans following the event both on-site and online from all over the world,” commented AEGAON co-founder and marketing director Kristjan Rabi, who was particularly impressed by the obstacle featuring the brand’s colors and logos.

The musical freestyle Grand Prix of this year’s CHI Pärnu World Cup stage was won by Finland’s Anu Sironen with her horse Fioretto.

The second week of the competition culminated in a show jumping Grand Prix at Maria Farm’s equestrian center, which awarded FEI world ranking points. The obstacle height reached 145 cm, and the winner was Lithuania’s Matas Petraitis riding Cornet’s Cloud.

The final competition of CHI Pärnu 2025 was the World Cup show jumping event with obstacles up to 160 cm. Only two pairs made it to the jump-off – Lithuanian rider Matas Petraitis on Nicko P and Latvian Olympian Kristaps Neretnieks on Quintair. The winner was Matas Petraitis, who, like all the previous champions, received an AEGAON wristwatch in addition to the Grand Prix prize money.

This year’s CHI Pärnu equestrian festival has now come to a close, but plans are already in place for a bigger event next year – and AEGAON fully intends to be part of it again.

AEGAON is Estonia’s first wristwatch manufacturer, established in 2012. Its most renowned model is the oversized “Peacemaker 65,” one of the largest wristwatches in the world. In addition to equestrianism, AEGAON supports Estonian basketball, golf, disc golf, ice hockey, tennis, sailing, and various charitable organizations.
