We're happy to share some good news – today we received a shipment of another 115 watch straps. The delivery included both brown and black straps, in roughly equal quantities.
Our team is working to fit all of these straps to the watches by the end of today, and we will resume shipping orders tomorrow.
The latest update is that the next batch of brown straps will be shipped from Germany tomorrow via DHL.
For customers who need their order urgently for a special occasion, we have been offering—and continue to offer—the option of receiving the watch immediately with a complimentary replacement strap (either a Genesis 2.0 black rubber strap or a Tabula Rasa 44 black leather strap). Your original strap will be sent to you as soon as it becomes available.
Why the delay?
Due to the ongoing heatwave in Europe, our German strap manufacturer, DI-Modell, has experienced production delays that have also affected AEGAON's order.
Along with their sincere apologies, they explained that the exceptionally high temperatures have made it impossible for both machinery and employees to work safely in overheated production facilities. In addition, the adhesive used in the manufacturing process does not cure properly under these conditions, further slowing production.
DI-Modell is a highly respected German company with a long history of producing handcrafted watch straps in Germany (www.dimodell.com). They supply straps to renowned German and Swiss watch manufacturers, and AEGAON has proudly worked with them for the past 14 years.
For this reason, we have every confidence that we will receive the remaining straps very soon—and that you will receive a watch fitted with a strap of the highest possible quality.
