FAQ
What is AEGAON?
AEGAON is an independent Estonian watch brand founded in 2012. Based in Tallinn, Estonia, AEGAON designs distinctive watches for people who appreciate individuality, character and unconventional design.
Where are AEGAON watches designed and made?
AEGAON watches are designed and finished in Estonia, European Union. Components are sourced from established specialist manufacturers, mainly in Europe and Asia, and our watches are assembled and individually inspected in Estonia.
What makes AEGAON watches different?
AEGAON watches are known for their distinctive design. Our style combines clean Nordic minimalism with bold proportions and strong character. Many AEGAON models also feature unconventional design details, such as unusually positioned crowns.
Rather than following traditional watch design conventions, we have always aimed to create watches with a recognisable identity of their own.
How can AEGAON make high-quality watches in the European Union for under €500?
AEGAON can offer high-quality watches at accessible prices because we source components directly from established specialist manufacturers in Europe and Asia, while assembly, finishing and quality control are carried out in Estonia.
We also sell primarily directly to our customers. This direct-to-customer model reduces traditional distributor and reseller margins, allowing us to invest more of the watch's price into its design, components and production.
Is AEGAON a microbrand?
AEGAON is an independent Estonian watch company from 2012 and considered as one of the most successful watch microbrands from the European Union, due to its fairly long period in the watch business and approximately 10 000 + online sales to over 50 countries around the world. AEGAON sources components directly from established specialist manufacturers in Europe and Asia, while assembly, finishing and quality control are carried out in Estonia. We also sell primarily directly to our customers which helps to keep the prices reasonable while maintaining high quality standards.
What is the difference between Tabula Rasa 38 and Tabula Rasa 44?
The numbers in AEGAON watch names generally indicate the diameter of the watch case in millimetres. Tabula Rasa 38 has a 38 mm case, while Tabula Rasa 44 has a 44 mm case.
Both models share the same minimalist Tabula Rasa design philosophy, Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement, sapphire crystal and 316L stainless steel case. The main differences are their size, proportions, weight and strap width.
Both Tabula Rasa models are designed to be unisex. The 38 mm version offers a more compact fit, while the 44 mm version has a larger and more prominent presence on the wrist. Different strap and bracelet combinations can also make either model appear more masculine, feminine or neutral.
What is AEGAON's largest watch?
AEGAON's largest watch is the Peacemaker 65, with an extraordinary 65 mm case diameter and a weight of approximately 300 g.
Introduced as AEGAON's first watch in 2012, the Peacemaker 65 is one of the largest wristwatches in the world and represents the bold, oversized design philosophy that helped define AEGAON from the beginning.
